The HeadStarter’s Pathway
The Headstart’s pathway is an educational programme themed around mental health, emotional well-being and resilience. The programme sets out to support our pupil Headstart Ambassadors across school so that they can help their peers with self-confidence, give them a safe platform to discuss their views and feelings and help to tackle issues that pupils in our area could be facing
HeadStarters – a training pathway for young people to develop school based projects and support the delivery of HeadStart.
HeadStart is a whole school approach where everyone feels safe and comfortable to be themselves, learn and develop in a positive environment and access support when needed.
Our school is committed to the HeadStart principles to allow every young person to have the best possible experience and outcomes throughout their school journey.

Our Year 4 HeadStarters have achieved both their bronze and silver HeadStart awards this year and are ready to be peer mentors for their fellow pupils. They will also run assemblies and events to raise awareness of mental health and to promote general well-being.

Our Year 5 and 6 HeadStarters have achieved their gold HeadStart awards this year and are ready to be peer mentors for their fellow pupils. They will also run assemblies and events to raise awareness of mental health and to promote general well-being.
