PE is on a Monday with Mr Sidgwick so children are required to wear their sportswear to school that day. Please ensure your child is wearing suitable clothing for outdoor PE.
Swimming
Swimming will run differently to previous years. We will be attending swimming lesssons every day for a 2 week block starting 27th September. The swimming lesson is from 10.15am to 11am so we will be leaving school at 9.45am and returning at 11.15am.
Your child will either need to wear a one piece swimming suit or swimming shorts that are above the knee. Goggles are only permitted if the parent/carer writes a letter assuming full responsibility for the goggles and the wearing of them.
It is crucially important that your child attends these swimming lessons as they are part of the curriculum and a life saving skill.

Homework
Reading/phonics homework and maths homework is given out on a Friday to be returned by the following Thursday. We set homework on Seesaw so if you have any problems accessing this, please let us know and we will support you to access it. If you cannot use Seesaw, we will provide you with paper copies of the homework.
H
Reading
Your child will bring home a reading book every Monday to be returned on a Friday. We ask that you read with your child a minimum of 3 times per week. We are allowing you to keep the same book all week to enable you to read the book more than once, to discuss the themes in the book and to ask questions about the text. This will enhance your child’s reading progress.
Your child will either come home with a Sounds Write reading book or an Accelerated Reader reading book. If you child brings home an Accelerated Reader book, they need to complete a quiz online to ensure they have understood the text. You can access the quizzes using this link: https://ukhosted87.renlearn.co.uk/2234217
The children are aware of their logins. Everytime you read with your child, please can you sign the yellow reading record and write down the page number.
