About

Welcome to Bankfields Primary School website and thank you for taking the time to visit. We hope it gives you a good insight into our school and answers any questions you might have. However, if there is any way in which you feel we could improve our website, please let us know as we aim to ensure it is an effective source of information for our parents and the Bankfields community. Visits to our school are warmly welcomed and encouraged to get a true flavour of school life.

Bankfields Primary is an inclusive school at the heart of the Bankfields estate, serving the children of Eston and the surrounding area. We ensure our children are educated in a safe, caring and stimulating environment where all children are valued as individuals and encouraged to reach their full potential. The pupils are supported by a team of hardworking, talented and dedicated staff who are passionate about enriching the lives of all our children through providing a broad and exciting curriculum as well as a wide range of extracurricular opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of the provision we offer our pupils at Bankfields Primary School. The quality of education at our school is good, and this was confirmed by our January 2022 Ofsted judgement. We aspire to build on our success each year and all staff are committed to ensuring that the provision for our children is the best it can be.

Strong relationships with parents are key to ensuring our children receive the best education possible. The school operates an ‘open door’ policy where parents are welcome to come and discuss any concerns with the Headteacher or teaching staff, before or after the teaching day, to ensure children are happy and successful in school. We run a number of family learning events throughout the year as well as a range of community events to encourage parents, carers and other family members to come into school to support children in their learning and to value the education they receive. We value the positive relationships we have formed with our parents and carers and look forward to working with you all in the future

Kindest Regards

Mrs Gatenby

Headteacher
