Lunchtime Supervisor

Working Pattern: 1 hour each day Monday to Friday.

Contract Type: Temporary until 31st August 2025 in the first instance.

Starting Date: from Monday 4th November 2024.

Actual Salary:  Grade A Point 2 – £2566 per annum (term time only – 38 weeks)

The Staff and Governors of Bankfields Primary School are seeking to appoint for the role of Lunchtime Supervisor. The position of lunchtime supervisor is to support the children over the one-hour lunch period.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has experience of working with and safeguarding children within the primary age phase, including pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Can work collaboratively with other lunchtime supervisors and teachers to provide consistent supervision and management of pupils at lunch time to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Can work alongside other lunchtime supervisors to positively engage with and support pupils to ensure lunchtimes are a safe and enjoyable time in the school day.
  • Has the skills and confidence to work independently and as part of our supportive team.
  • Is creative and innovative in his/her approach to supporting children.
  • Is kind, understanding and caring towards our pupils.
  • Has highly effective behaviour management skills and can support our children in their social, moral and emotional development and overall wellbeing.
