Sports
Table Tennis
Our table tennis girls are officially the 3rd best school in England. They had attended 3 previous rounds before entering the tournament. They have represented Bankfields Primary School and the North East! We cannot wait to see where your journey takes you next year. We will continue to support and celebrate your success.
Cross Country
This year we had 12 children in the TV Finals for the cross country. This was an amazing achievement. The children had to battle through a tough course, and they all represented the school and Redcar and Cleveland.
Football
We have had success with our girls and boys football teams this year. Our girls team won the tournament they entered, and they showed great teamwork throughout the day. The boys showcased their ability and represented Redcar and Cleveland in the finals and finishing fourth. Both teams are entering the Wilf Mannion this year in June, and we are excited to watch them thrive.
Leo’s Success
Leo represented Middlesbrough in Poland this year. He has represented Middlesbrough all year and we are delighted to share that he has been offered a contract for the 24/25 season. Keep this amazing determination up Leo.
Joe’s Success
Joe represented Eston in a swimming competition in Leeds. This event was the highest level for his age group. He had to qualify in other rounds before this. We loved sharing his success with you all.
Sports Leaders
Our Sports Leaders in Year 5 and 6 have been dedicated this year, and they have enhanced active breaktimes. They have played multiple games with the Year 3 and 4 children. The feedback we have received has been amazing. They have brought great energy when working with the children in school.
OSF Funding
This year we have been lucky enough to have funding from the OSF, and this has allowed us to offer clubs to the children and also the community. It has been an amazing year, and children have been able to attend: Yoga, Mai Thai, Urban Kaos and Flag Football. We are able to offer this again next year, so we are looking forward to seeing everyone getting involved again.
